Who We Are: Summer Basketball Camp in Trenton/Princeton
SUMMER 2018 REGISTRATION NOW AVAILABLE!!
We are experienced college coaches who understand what it takes to build a player's fundamentals from the ground up. |
Coach Goldsmith and Coach Elberg have both played and coached in Division 3 and professional basketball for a combined 18 years. With a variety of experience in different training techniques, they will take each player through a college-level practice session focused on skill development for every position. Each athlete will receive individual attention and skill development rather than just roll the ball out and play.

Coach Matthew Goldsmith

In just 3 seasons as head coach, Goldsmith accumulated a 53-27 record and guided the Lions to their first NJAC Championship game since 1998. The Lions had their best start to a season in over a decade in each of his first three seasons. Before TCNJ, Goldsmith spent the past few seasons working as the Head Assistant at his Alma Mater, Amherst College. In his first season on the coaching staff in 2012-13, Goldsmith helped guide Amherst to a 30-2 record and the second national title in program history. The following season, Amherst made their fifth appearance in the Final Four and boasted a season mark of 27-4. In 2014-15, Amherst went 21-8 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA championship tournament.
In addition to his success at Amherst and TCNJ, Goldsmith spent time as a volunteer assistant coach for USA Basketball during the past two summers. In June 2013, he assisted the Men's 2013 FIBA World Champion USA Under-19 National Team. The next summer, he helped with individual workouts during practice while volunteering with the 2014 Men's National Team that captured the gold medal. During those coaching experiences, Goldsmith was able to glean valuable experience and wisdom from elite coaching minds such as Mike Krzyzewski, Jim Boeheim, Billy Donovan, Tom Thibodeau and Monty Williams.
A 6’ 7” forward for Amherst College, Goldsmith helped win the 2007 Division 3 National Championship as a player before continuing his playing career after graduation. He played professionally in Germany for TV Werne 03 during the 2008-09 season.

Coach Elberg
Elberg just finished his third season as the head assistant for the Lions where he focused on developing guard play and defensive fundamentals. Elberg comes from Washington College (MD) after serving as the assistant there for the 14-15 season. Before that, he was an assistant at his Alma Mater, Drew University, where he had a successful four year career.
Elberg is the lead recruiter and an invaluable asset to the TCNJ basketball program. |
